visitor information centre

We’re delighted to offer visitors a go-to place for local tourism information right in the heart of the Tweed Valley.

Located on Peebles High Street, our visitor information centre is a welcoming space to discover more about the beauty spots and shops, activities, eateries and attractions that make the Tweed Valley so unique. The centre also serves as a showcase for close to 100 tourism-related businesses that form the Tweed Valley Tourism BID.

Go Tweed Valley Visitor Centre Manager, Sarah McNeil, is on hand to share her local knowledge – a personal touch that isn’t always available when carrying out research online. A long-term resident of the valley and ambassador for everything the area has to offer, Sarah’s insights into all aspects of local tourism are second-to-none. Over time, we hope to bring onboard a small group of volunteers to support Sarah and add even more local personality to the centre.

Look out too for a growing calendar of social events at the visitor centre. Located on one of the busiest high streets in the Borders, it’s the perfect space to connect visitors and locals with tourist attractions, restaurants, galleries and more through an imaginative and lively programme of displays, mini-exhibitions and evening events. Keep an eye on the website and social media for more news about this.

We look forward to welcoming you through the door!
