Dawyck Botanic Garden Studio and Gift Shop, nr Stobo

In addition to boasting one of Scotland’s finest tree collections, Dawyck has a bustling visitor centre that is home to an intimate studio featuring a seasonal programme of exhibitions, as well as a colourful gift shop featuring books, gardening products and other botanical themed gifts.

Tweed Art, Peebles

Delightful framing studio that marries an ever-changing artists’ gallery with an inventive craft makers’ area that showcases a wide range of ceramics, metalwork, glassware, sculpture, wood and jewellery. Owned and run by one of Scotland’s highest quality bespoke picture framers.

 

 

Zenwalls Gallery, Peebles

Owned by Mark and Sally McCallum, whose paintings and textiles are displayed in the gallery, Zenwalls is a contemporary art space that offers regularly changing exhibitions by established Scottish artists and exciting new talent. A beautifully curated collection of Art and Scottish crafts including ceramics, textiles and glass fill the gallery walls and shelves.

 

 

Moy Mackay Gallery, Peebles

Nestled in Peebles' Northgate lies this beautiful artist-owned gallery. Glasgow School of Art-trained Moy Mackay is regarded as the leader in 'felted painting', an art form she pioneered. In addition to Moy’s own work, the gallery showcases a myriad of Scotland’s very best fine and applied artists, with exhibitions changing every six weeks or so.

An open and welcoming space for contemporary fine arts, ceramics, glass and jewellery, Solo Gallery features original and affordable work by renowned artists from Scotland and across the UK. Look out for artist-led workshops and life drawing sessions open to all ages and abilities.

 

 

The Hub on the High Street, Innerleithen

Buzzy, friendly store full of beautiful gifts and artwork – mostly from local artists and producers – plus a huge selection of small batch gin and craft beer, predominantly sourced from small independent distilleries and breweries. Also serves as an excellent visitor information centre.

Scandinavian-inspired design store packed with stylish homeware and lifestyle products. From gorgeous glassware and cosy textiles to statement benches and bathroom accessories. There’s speciality coffee and freshly baked treats too – a hygge experience from start to finish. Guaranteed you will leave feeling reenergised (and your home looking more beautiful!).


 

Lou Lou’s Vintage Emporium, Innerleithen

This award-winning retailer of fine vintage Scottish cashmere, designer clothing and accessories is built on a sustainable ethos of re-wearing and re-using.
